Pineto Village – 684 mslm

In the village there are several interesting buildings.

At the entrance of the village you can see the one known as “Casa dei Da Palude”, former residence of this ancient family.

Despite the damage suffered during the 1920 earthquake, the building maintains elements of considerable historical and architectural interest.

Inside the porch there are also several frescoes depicting sacred images probably dating back to the seventeenth century. A second portal located on the first floor is dated “1583”. The internal oratory also contains seventeenth-century frescoes.

In the centre of the village stands a massive tower house with a stone rose window going back to the seventeenth century.
