Pieve di Pianzo (Church) – 458 mslm

First records mentioning the church of S. Maria Assunta date back to 1233. A portal with an anthropomorphs image opens in the gabled façade. Of the medieval stronghold, only a few traces remain in the square tower adjacent to the church.

Usually closed to the public, but on the 15th of August it is the site of the Feast of the Assumption, attracting both locals and tourists. Custodian of the church is Mr. F. Spaggiari who lives just below the church.
