Regnano Village – 673 m

Inside the village you can observe some ruins of the Monte Fiore Castle, built by the Langobard Guiterno in the 11th century. It was built on a high hill, to have a strong defensive function. In 1185 Federico I gave this fiefdom, in an act of donation, to Pietro, bishop of Luni, until his successor ceded it to the Malaspina in 1202.
